Del Monte Foods Advances On Higher Q2 EPS, Boosts FY09 EPS Forecast

(RTTNews) - Del Monte Foods (DLM) gapped open higher and has continued to race higher amid strong volume during the first 5 minutes of trading. The climb comes after the company reported a rise in second quarter profit and lifted its 2009 fiscal year net sales growth outlook.

The stock broke resistance and surpassed its 50-day moving average, up 82 cents at $6.36.
